North West Private Hospital History

North West Private Hospital opened in 1984 and has been serving the community of north west Brisbane since this time.

Over the years the hospital has expanded its services and now provides obstetrics, surgical and medical services across a wide range of specialities with leading edge procedures.

North West Private Hospital was purchased by Ramsay Health Care in 2005. Ramsay Health Care was established in 1964 and is now the largest and arguably the most respected operator of private hospitals in Australia with over 65 hospitals located throughout the country.

In 2008, Ramsay Health Care agreed to a major redevelopment of North West Private. Construction began in 2008 and is ongoing in 2010.  Once finalised, North West will boast new theatres, carparking, specialist consulting suites and a new accommodation wing.
