Post Graduate Midwifery Course

In conjunction with the Australian Catholic University, North West Private Hospital offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to become new midwives. As a smaller maternity unit of 22 post natal beds, 4 birthing suites and a 4 bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery we provide learning in a nurturing, positive & encouraging environment. The 12 month course involves a theoretical component based through ACU & clinical development with North West. We also rotate you through our obstetricians’ rooms enabling you the chance to become involved in Antenatal care.

Both students who are participating in this program have found the course to be very valuable and practical. “The unit promotes a supportive working relationship with all members of the team and encourages professional development”.
