Antenatal Classes
We have formulated an Antenatal Program for you and your partner that is designed to share knowledge through discussion and education. The program covers practical information and is presented by the Midwives who work in our Maternity Unit.

- The above classes are available over 3 weeks, on Monday, Tuesday or Thursdays evenings and Saturday morning or afternoon.
- They are 3 hours each session.
- Depending upon your health fund cover, there may be additional costs incurred for these classes.
Please Book Your Classes By 15 Weeks Gestation.

It is advisable that you and your partner book into these classes as early as possible as positions are limited.
Gestational Diabetic Education Session
If you have developed Gestational Diabetes in your pregnancy you may require education regarding your treatment. Our Maternity Unit offers a half hour outpatient education session to discuss any concerns you may have. If you wish to book into this clinic please call 3246 3174.
Lactation Consultant Inpatient Education Session
Our Maternity Unit has developed an inpatient education session provided by a Lactation Consultant. This session is available on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Lactation Consultant is able to offer expect advice and support.
All midwives working in Maternity are available at all times to assist you to establish your baby’s feeding. Whichever method of feeding you choose our staff will support and encourage your choice.
Well Baby Clinic
The Well Baby Clinic provides a welcoming environment for new parents to discuss your baby’s progress and to provide support and advice regarding your baby’s care.
Our Maternity Unit offers this service from discharge up to 12 months of age and the advice and support given is by qualified Child Health Nurses.
