Cairns mothers transferred to North West during Cyclone Yasi

North West Private Hospital’s maternity ward became a haven for four mothers who were evacuated from Cairns before Cyclone Yasi hit recently.  The mothers, from Cairns Private Hospital, were flown to Brisbane in a C17 army carrier and admitted to North West Private Hosptial.

North West Private Director of Clinical Services Ellen Whittaker said the mothers were very complimentary of the care they had received from staff at Cairns Private Hospital during the evacuation process.
