Our Maternity Facilities

Private Rooms

At North West Private Hospital, we understand the birth of your baby is a special moment to share with those closest to you and we are pleased to offer all our maternity patients the guarantee of a private room with private ensuite bathroom. There is no shared accommodation, so you can enjoy your own private space to bond together with your new baby.

Our Maternity unit is set in peaceful surrounds overlooking gardens, providing a calm environment for you and your family to welcome your new arrival. Whether you choose our standard suite accommodation or our exclusive deluxe suites for your stay, you can be assured of the best care available. Our rooms also offer Foxtel and Wi-Fi.

Standard Suites

Our spacious standard suites with ensuite include a sleep out couch or recliner chair for partners, who are welcome to stay at no additional cost or food charge. Enjoy meals from our menu together as a couple in the privacy of your own room. There’s a mini fridge in your room, plus telephone and television with Foxtel.

Deluxe Suites

For extra indulgence, upgrade to one of our deluxe suites (subject to availability) with extra touches to help you and your partner relax and rejuvenate as you spend time getting to know your baby.

These suites are more spacious than our standard, and feature a double bed, large flat screen TV, coffee machine – and access to our exclusive deluxe menu created by our executive chef.

It’s the little luxuries that matter so enjoy the mini bar stocked with a range of beverages and snacks, celebratory bottles of wine and a welcome gift. The ensuite includes a complementary collection of personal amenities.

Our deluxe suites are $200 per night including partner (minimum 2 night stay), subject to availability. For more information or to request a room, please contact Maternity Reception on (07) 3353 7825 or Maternrec.NWB@ramsayhealth.com.au

Levels of hospital cover vary between private health insurers and health insurance products. Some hospital policies may include a ‘family in-hospital benefit’ (or similar benefit) for partner accommodation and meals. You are encouraged to contact your private health insurer to discuss if your hospital policy includes any additional benefits which may be claimed.

Birth Suites

Our spacious birth suites provide a welcoming, calm environment for you and your support person/s. Our experienced midwives are with you throughout your labour and birth to provide care and reassurance every step of the way.

Each birth suite is private, with a range of features to make your labour and birth as comfortable as possible:

  • Multifunctional birthing beds
  • Large ensuite, some with bath
  • Therapeutic comfort tools such as birth balls & heat packs
  • TV with Foxtel
  • iPhone docking station and built in audio system
  • Mobile CTG / telemetry unit
  • A kitchenette is also accessible

In the event that you require a caesarean during your labour, you will be transferred to one of our operating suites, and we welcome one support person to accompany you.

Our Special Care Nursery

Sometimes our new arrivals need a little extra care and at North West Private Hospital you can rest assured that should the need arise, you have access to our 15 cot Level 3 Special Care Nursery.

Our consultant paediatricians manage the care of babies in our Special Care Nursery, supported by our specially-trained neonatal nursing staff offering 24 hour care.

Our Special Care Nursery can take neonates from 32 weeks gestation and some of the features include:

  • State of the art equipment
  • Secure nursery environment
  • Private feeding room
  • Baby bathing facility
  • Maternity support services

Our team aim to provide family-centred care to you and your baby and will encourage parents to participate as much as possible in the care of their baby while they require the support of the Special Care Nursery. Parents are able to be with their baby whenever they wish to help develop the bonds that are so important.
