The Rehabilitation Unit at North West Private Hospital embraces a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, actively involving patients, their families, and a diverse team of professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Tailored Individual Programs
Our programs are tailored to each individual’s unique needs and are delivered by a skilled and experienced multidisciplinary team. The team conducts comprehensive assessments to address care needs in the following areas:
- Hygiene and personal care
- Domestic tasks and community activities, such as shopping and paying bills
- Physical abilities, including balance, strength, endurance, and mobility
- Communication skills, encompassing speech, writing, listening, and reading
- Continence and medication management
- Safe swallowing and nutrition
Together with the patient and their family, the team develops a personalized therapy program designed to achieve mutually agreed and realistic goals.
Who would benefit from inpatient rehabilitation?
Eligible patients are those with impairment or disability for which there is a reasonable expectation of functional gain. The primary treatment goal will be an improvement in functional status.
Referral Process
Referrals are to be made in writing and need to be completed by a medical practitioner. The referral must then be sent via email to: rehabnorthwest@ramsayhealth.com.au
Acceptance of the referral is at the discretion of the treating specialist based on the individual’s capacity to benefit from rehabilitation.
