Dan trained as a gastroenterologist in Adelaide. He moved to Brisbane in 2007–2010, completing a PhD and a Master of Public Health at UQ and working at the RBWH. Dan lived in New York from 2010–2014 working at Columbia University in gastrointestinal cancer research. Since 2015, Dan has run a bowel cancer research group in Adelaide and has worked as a public and private gastroenterologist.
Dan returned to Brisbane in 2019 to become a partner in GIE along with his friend and colleague A/Prof David Hewett. Dan, David and all of the team at GIE are committed to serving you and your patients with high quality, convenient and caring open-access endoscopy and colonoscopy and, where necessary, consultative digestive health care. Working at GIE comes with the legacy of more than 30 years of superb digestive healthcare provided by Dr Roderick Roberts, Dr Neville Sanford, Dr Bill Robinson and many, many others.
