Dr Nam Bajra has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2003, where she started her speciality training at Logan Hospital in Brisbane’s south. Since completing her Specialist Training in 2008, Dr Bajra worked as a Staff Specialist at the Mater Mothers Hospital, South Brisbane until she started her private practice in August 2010.
When asked why she chose Obstetrics & Gynaecology as her speciality, Dr Bajra talks about the seeing what an important time it is for families and the excitement surrounding a new baby. She says “The pleasure and satisfaction of making sure both the mum and bub are safe and informed. It makes you feel you are such an important part of their lives – it’s the reason I joined Obstetrics.”
Dr Bajra believes keeping mums and their families well informed throughout the journey is what sets her apart – ensuring her mums know she is only a phone call away and are clear about what to expect means they are comfortable and confident at such an important time.
She is caring, compassionate and empathetic. She is known to have a great rapport with patients and makes them feel comfortable in what can be a very stressful time. She is experienced and provides care for all obstetric, gynaecology and fertility conditions including laparoscopic surgery. She also offers MonaLisa Treatment for management of post-menopausal symptoms.
