Mark has a strong research interest, undertaking a PhD through the University of Queensland analysing the outcomes of immunotherapy treatment in Queensland cancer patients and is the lead investigator of an innovative genomics trial designed to reduce toxicity of chemotherapy. He has been the co-investigator on many clinical trials and has presented research at national and international oncology meetings/events. He is an active member of several collaborative research groups and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students, registrars, and oncology trainees across Queensland.
Mark is a compassionate excellent communicator and is focused on providing high quality and personalised care to patients with cancer. He has extensive experience managing a wide range of solid organ cancers and stays up to date with the latest breakthrough treatments for his patients. He ensures that patients and their families are informed, involved and supported thoughout their treatment plans.
