Lauren works primarily with young infants (under the age of 2yrs) addressing all areas of infant health and well-being.
Lauren cares for both term and pre-term newborn babies, with an interest in multiple births. She has a keen interest in early infant behaviour and de-medicalising the well infant. She has a holistic focus on feeding (and nutrition), sleep and settling, and parental well-being in the context of the more specific medical issues of the infant.
Lauren supports the families of those infants who require her expertise to manage evolving medical needs.
Lauren will continue to follow-up both pre-term and infants with ongoing medical concerns who come into her care over the long-term.
Lauren is the admitting Paediatrician for the Brisbane Early Parenting Centre, (Ramsay Health's 7 bed in-patient mother/baby unit that assists parents with resolving challenging issues they are experiencing with their baby, during a 4-night inpatient admission).
Lauren began her career as a registered nurse, specialising in Neonatal Critical Care. Lauren has worked as a doctor in Paediatrics in Brisbane for over 15 years, at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital NICU, Mater Mother’s Hospital NICU, Queensland Children’s Hospital and in Private Practice at North West Private Hospital since 2016 .
Lauren prides herself on supporting ordinary families in their own extraordinary circumstances. Lauren’s calm and respectful approach helps to build the connection with both the parents and the child.
