Dr Adnan completed her pre-university studies in the United Kingdom before attending medical school on a full government scholarship at the renowned Royal College Of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) in Dublin. She graduated in 2008 with Honours and went on to complete her housemanship in the city's largest teaching hospital, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. She relocated to Australia in 2009. As part of her junior training, Dr Adnan worked in Emergency Medicine for 3 years at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) and Mount Isa Base Hospital.
Dr Adnan has experience with all areas of rehabilitation including stroke rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, orthogeriatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, amputee rehabilitation, brain and spinal injury rehabilitation, pain rehabilitation and reconditioning.
Her interests include stroke/neurorehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, orthogeriatric rehabilitation and reconditioning.
Dr Adnan currently works as a Rehabilitation Medicine consultant at the North West Private Hospital in Everton Park. She consults from suites at the hospital and works closely with the multidisciplinary allied health team at the North West Private Hospital Rehabilitation Day Unit. Dr Adnan enjoys taking the time building relationships with her patients and strives to provide comprehensive and individualised holistic health care to improve her patients' quality of life. Dr Adnan also works as a staff specialist with Queensland Health in the Brighton Brain Injury Service (BBIS) 2 days a week.
