Dr William Bowes is a urologist with an interest in robot-assisted surgery, prostate cancer, laparoscopic renal surgery, urinary stone disease, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
William graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2004. In 2008, he decided to travel to Brisbane to undertake his specialist training, subsequently becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2017. During this time, he completed subspecialty training in robot-assisted surgery at the Queensland Robotic Surgery Unit in Greenslopes. William holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and has previously conducted research on the outcomes of robot-assisted prostate cancer surgery.
